Myrtle Beach is the nation's third busiest tourism destination, and the region's economic outlook remains positive. The city's staff is ready to assist businesses as they grow and develop. Recent improvements include major new stormwater systems, underground utilities, new roads, expanded recreation centers and other infrastructure projects designed to keep Myrtle Beach attractive and competitive. The City of Myrtle Beach provides a number of on-line services and forms. Customers may pay their utility bills on line, file a request for service, and even pay a parking meter violation via the Internet. You also may call 918-1212 to pay utility bills with either Visa or MasterCard, or you may have your payment drafted directly from your checking account. Call 918-1212 for details.
The city also offers a number of on-line forms for business licenses and other fees, as well as for employment applications and special events. Please visit the links below for more information. Simply download and save the desired form to your computer, then complete, print and send the form to the appropriate address via the U.S. Postal Service or by fax to 843-918-1210. At this time, the city does not accept e-mailed versions of these forms (with the exception of certain employment applications, as indicated).
The
Planning Department formulates
recommended goals, plans, policies and ordinances that provide
orderly growth and development for Myrtle Beach.
The Construction Services Department reviews and approves permits for residential and commercial construction. Construction Services and the Community Appearance Board review and approve new signs. The city's Board of Zoning Appeals hears appeals from zoning decisions and considers requests for variances from zoning regulations. The following forms are available.
