South Carolina's Largest Garage Sale fills the Myrtle Beach Convention Center for one Saturday in August or September of each year. Entering its 23rd year for 2011, the sale features 280 booths and thousands of bargain-hunters. Sale hours are 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parking at the Convention Center is $3 per car, per day, and admission to the sale itself is free.
On-line registration for vendor space will begin at a later date, usually in early summer. All booths will be $50.00, and vendors may move in Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning. Two booth sizes exist: 10-by-15-foot exhibit hall space and 8-by-15-foot entrance lobby or outside covered space.
Each space includes one eight-foot table and two chairs, with additional, smaller tables available for $5 each. Vendors may occupy a maximum of four spaces, with booth space assigned by the Convention Center. Vendors selling retail items must have a South Carolina Retail License and will be responsible for paying sales tax on items sold at this event.

Hundreds of seashells are on display in the lobby
of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The shells were
collected and donated by the Grand Strand Shell Club and include
conchs, sand dollars, sea horses and fossils. The
collection is in four display cases near the spiral staircase in
the northeast corner of the Convention Center lobby.
