Overnight curfew established for the City of Myrtle Beach Friday, September 14

Myrtle Beach City Manager, John Pedersen signed a proclamation implementing an overnight curfew effective 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 14 to 7:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15.

The proclamation reads in part: "I FURTHER ORDER that a CURFEW be imposed within all areas of Myrtle Beach commencing at 7:00 PM Friday September 14, 2018 to be rescinded at 7:00 AM Saturday September 15, 2018, provided, however, that this curfew shall not apply to members of public law enforcement bodies, firefighters performing emergency duties, emergency medical personnel, medical doctors and nurses going to or from work; emergency recovery crews, or to those seeking to evacuate the City per the order of the Governor of the State of South Carolina, and credentialed members of the media."
