Emily to the Rescue in Myrtle Beach

What’s four feet long, remote controlled and can save someone from drowning? It’s Emily, a new water safety device coming to Myrtle Beach this year. With assistance from the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, the Myrtle Beach Fire Department is purchasing four remote-controlled life-saving robots, as shown in this video. The robots will be stationed along the beach during swim season, for easy deployment by the lifeguards and beach safety personnel.
