Prolonged and unusually cold temperatures made this week feel more like South Alaska than South Carolina. Morning lows dipped deep into the 20s and daytime highs rarely reached 40 degrees. As a result, fountains were frozen in place or frosted over. Shown here in their icy glory are fountains at Nance Plaza, City Hall, Anderson Park and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
