Warren S. Gall was appointed Chief of Police for the Myrtle Beach Police Department in April 1997. Chief Gall was hired as a Patrolman in March 1980. He has worked in virtually every area of operations including dispatch and jail duties, Uniform Patrol, Narcotics & Vice, Investigations and Administration. Chief Gall was promoted to Lieutenant in December 1992 and to Captain of the Uniform Division in December 1993, where he remained until his appointment as Chief. He has attended numerous specialized law enforcement training courses and has served several State and local task force assignments. His education includes an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Horry-Georgetown Tech, a B.A. from USC-Coastal Carolina, and a Masters Degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University. He is a graduate of the 160th Session of the FBI National Academy. Chief Gall served in the US Air Force from 1975-1979. He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the South Carolina Police Chiefs’ Association, the SC Law Enforcement Officers’ Association, the Horry County Law Enforcement Executives’ Association, and the SC FBI National Academy Associates. © Copyright 2004, The City of Myrtle Beach.
