The Myrtle Beach Police Department is housed in the Ted. C. Collins Law Enforcement Center on Oak Street. The department has more than 240 officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
The Police Department has a community-oriented policing philosophy and provides around-the-clock patrols. Other services include Crime Prevention programs, such as Neighborhood Watch; Animal Control, Beach Patrol, 911 Emergency Communications, and the City Switchboard. All officers are mandated to attend a specific amount of hours Training in many different aspect of law enforcement. The Police Department also operates a 48-hour adult and Juvenile Detention Facility at the Law Enforcement Center.

Each division has several sections within the division and links are available for you to visit each section of each division.
