Classes and Activities

Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium

 
       

Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium now features exercise rooms with new equipment, a large weight room, a well-lighted basketball court, two glass-fronted racquetball courts, new locker rooms, a variety of classes and activities and additional parking.  Crabtree Gym is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday; and from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday.  Call 918-2355 for more information.

 

Beginner Group Cycling:  This class is perfect for those new to indoor cycling.  You will learn how to set up an indoor bike.  Your ride will last 20-30 minutes to a variety of music.  We will keep the intensity at a level so you can pedal at your own pace.  Bring a bottle of water and a towel.  Class space is limited and are offered on a first come, first serve basis.  Sign up is required no earlier than 15 minutes prior to all cycling classes.  Sign up at the front desk.

6:15 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday

$4 / person / class – City Resident

Group Cycling Classes:  Come enjoy group cycling at Crabtree Gym.  Class is available on a first-come, first served basis.  Sign up is required no earlier than 15 minutes prior to all cycling classes.

Zumba:  Uses great Latin and World music and dance to create a work out where you have so much fun you forget that you’re burning calories.  The routines feature interval training sessions using slow and fast rhythms to tone and sculpt the body while burning fat.  No dance experience is needed just a desire to have fun and get fit.  Learn new dance moves and sculpt your core.

Body Sculpting Class:  Total body workout using tubing and hand weights to define and sculpt your body.

Bosu Boot Camp:  Want to get energized and take your exercise to the next level?  Bosu Boot Camp is the class for you.  This action packed class is a fun and challenging way to work your core strength, cardio and muscle endurance; using resistance bands, medicine balls, stability balls, and of course, the bosu.  Here we will incorporate a functional aspect to fitness with hard work ethics.

Cardio Bosu:  A 45 minute class designed for beginners to learn total body moves and become acclimated to the bosu balance trainer.  It will introduce low impact cardio step patterns with dynamic balance and stabilization into a fun, powered packed workout.
