Citizens Fire Academy

OVERVIEW
Applications are now available for the Myrtle Beach Fire Department's third session of the Citizens Fire Academy, a program that allows participants an in-depth, behind the scenes look at the City of Myrtle Beach's outstanding fire and rescue team. The 10-week program is set for 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, February 25-May 12. Participants have the opportunity to wear fire gear, drive a fire truck, learn and perform water rescue skills and more!
2020 SPRING SESSION
The application period opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31. Applications will be processed in the order received. Applicants must be 18 years of age, or older, and must be city residents or Horry County residents. Applicants undergo a criminal history background check and must provide a copy of photographic identification. Interested parties can mail, email or deliver the completed application in-person.
