Citizens Fire Academy
Applications are now available for the Myrtle Beach Fire Department's second session of the Citizens Fire Academy, a program that allows participants an in-depth, behind the scenes look at the City of Myrtle Beach's outstanding fire and rescue team. The 10-week program is set for 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesdays, September 4 through November 13.
Applications are due by Monday, August 19. Applications will be processed in the order received. Applicants must be 18 years of age, or older, and must be city residents or Horry County residents. Applicants undergo a criminal history background check and must provide a copy of photographic identification.
