Both of Myrtle Beach’s off-leash dog parks now have separate areas for big and small dogs. A new Small Dog Area opened this week at Barc Parc South, off Mallard Lake Drive. Dogs up to 16 inches high at the back are eligible for the small dog section. Amenities include benches, picnic tables and a doggie water fountain. Barc Parc South also has a separate Large Dog Area, as well as an All Dog Area that includes the lake. The new section for small dogs has been well received. Funding was provided by a grant from the state and city resources. Barc Parc North is off 62nd Avenue North, adjacent to the Claire Chapin Epps Family YMCA.
