Sharp lines and smooth curves greet visitors to Myrtle Beach’s Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium, thanks to a new coat of paint on the composite running track.  The red surface has just been restriped, ready for two collegiate track meets in March and a high school meet in April.  In all, 3,000 athletes, coaches and officials from 70 college and club track-and-field programs will be in town the next two weeks for training and competition.  Up first is the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge, March 11-12, followed by the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, March 17-19.
