Young men and woman from seven high schools competed in the fourth annual Horry County Junior ROTC Drill Meet on Saturday, May 4.  Under the watchful eyes of local U.S. Army recruiters, who served as judges, the teams performed in Color Guard, Armed Squad, Armed Platoon, Unarmed Squad, Unarmed Platoon and individual categories, among others.  Trophies were awarded, with the Myrtle Beach High School Navy JROTC team winning top overall honors this year.  Special congratulations to the individual unarmed knockout champion, Danica Snyder, and the armed knockout champion, Jason Bouyer, both from North Myrtle Beach High School.  The drill meet kicks off our Military Appreciation Days during May.
