Myrtle Beach has dozens of pocket parks scattered throughout our residential areas, including Ocean Forest Memorial Park. Built in the mid-1980s, the park occupies a triangle at the intersection of Porcher Drive and Haskell Circle. If you take a stroll here, you’ll run across a granite memorial with names of prominent families and businesses from that decade. They were part of the city’s Keep America Beautiful campaign in 1989, and their contributions are forever remembered in stone.
