Myrtle Beach welcomed six new police officers on Friday, June 25, during ceremonies at the Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center.  Police Officers Daniel Formato, Brian Hall, Tim Larsen, Patrick Ogden, Anna Olson and Michael Taylor just graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.  Special congratulations go to Officer Formato, who won both the J.P. Strom Award as the top academic student and the Challenge Run Ribbon at the academy.  Police Chief Amy Prock led the six in their oaths of office, after which family members and friends helped pin on their new badges.  Congratulations, and welcome to our “first in service” family!
