Muralist Rick Forest is painting a lively Octopus on the side of Gordo’s Tacos and Tequila, just off Ninth Avenue North. The mural is designed as an interactive photo backdrop for patrons and passersby. It complements the theme of the restaurant which commissioned the work. Meanwhile, artist Ruth Cox and helpers are busy painting a low country marsh scene on the side of Grand Strand Law Group’s building at 401 Broadway Street. The naturalistic painting features water, trees and a motorcycle. Both works will take about two weeks to complete.
