The Firefighter Recruit School Graduation Ceremony is a special moment, as these photos illustrate. The City of Myrtle Beach welcomed 14 newly-minted firefighters last Friday during ceremonies at Horry-Georgetown Technical College’s Thomas Maeser Auditorium. The new graduates were accompanied by bagpipes as they marched to their seats. Friends and family members then pinned on their new badges before the firefighters received official, new helmets. In addition to Myrtle Beach’s 14 fire personnel, the cities of Conway and Georgetown each had one graduate in the class. Congratulations to all, and welcome to our “first in service” family!
