The great-great-great-grand-niece of Harriet Tubman was in Myrtle Beach this week.  Tina Wyatt spoke to a crowd Monday at the Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum and Education Center.  Wyatt says she loves to talk about “Aunt Harriet” and her accomplishments in civil rights and equality.  The occasion was the arrival of a statue recognizing Tubman to the City of Georgetown.  Wyatt is following the statute on its route across the country, speaking about Harriet Tubman’s legacy and family ties to Georgetown.  Myrtle Beach Middle School’s Dance team also performed.  The event was hosted by the city’s Neighborhood Services Department.
