Did you skateboard as a kid? Myrtle Beach youngsters are learning how to do it safely in a class offered at the Matt Hughes Skate Park, behind Pepper Geddings Recreation Center. Ages five to 12 are practicing basic skills and a few tricks under the watchful eye of Aaron Frobase, one of our Recreation Division staff. Frobase has offered the “Skate Safe” program for 13 years. This is the largest group ever, with 35 participants. The next “Skate Safe” program begins in February.
