Mr. and Mrs. Claus were the guests of honor December 6 at the fourth annual Community Tree Lighting in the Garden of Hope on Carver Street. Due to COVID-19, kids couldn’t sit in Santa’s lap, but they did get a fist-bump from the jolly old elf. Every child received a gift of toys from Santa, too. The event was co-sponsored by the Neighborhood Services Department and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. It featured live music, hot chocolate, visits with Santa and the annual tree lighting.
