Myrtle Beach’s annual “Shop with a Hero” event put smiles on the children’s and the heroes’ faces.  Firefighters and police officers took three dozen youngsters shopping at Target on Seaboard Street.  The departments raised enough money throughout the year to give each child $200.  The youngsters came with Christmas lists filled with needed clothing items, shoes and toys.  They also could pick gifts for family members.  As you’ll see in the photos, everyone will have a brighter holiday season after the heart-warming event.
