Myrtle Beach police officers and firefighters filled in as Santa’s helpers last Saturday for the annual “Shop with a Hero” program. Staff members from the Police and Fire Departments took three dozen children shopping for Christmas at Target. The officers raise money throughout the year so that each child has at least $200 to spend on clothes, toys and gifts during this annual event. As you can see, our staff enjoyed the shopping excursion at least as much as the children did. A tip of Santa’s cap to all involved for such a generous program.
