Remember that face masks are still required

Face masks are still required! Our COVID-19 positive test numbers have been climbing in South Carolina in recent days, so here’s a reminder that face masks are required in public spaces in the City of Myrtle Beach. This sign is on the door to a local restaurant. Governor Henry McMaster’s executive order also requires that restaurant staff and customers wear face masks, except when seated at the table.

Restaurants were given permission to resume 100 percent occupancy, but the governor did not lift the face mask rule. The City of Myrtle Beach also requires face masks at restaurants retail stores, accommodations and other indoor settings. Failure to wear a mask when required is a civil infraction with a fine of up to $100 upon conviction.
