Architects provide updates and renderings of the Performing Arts Center

The performing arts center on Main Street in Myrtle Beach’s new Arts & Innovation District is literally on the drawing board! During Tuesday's meeting, City Council received an update from architects at LS3P, who are designing the facility. Coastal Carolina University plans to use the center for its theatre curriculum. As shown, the theatre will occupy three former buildings on Main Street. Bids soon will be accepted for restoration of the exteriors. The diagram shows how the theatre will fit into the historic spaces. See Melissa Watness from LS3P talk about the theatre design in this video clip at https://bit.ly/2GYT2uv.
