Crews complete demolition of two buildings to make way for improved parking in the Arts and Innovation District

Demolition of two buildings is complete in Myrtle Beach’s Arts & Innovation District, opening up access to the central parking area just off Oak Street. This view had been blocked by one of the buildings, and many people were unaware that parking existed. The buildings on the left front on Ninth Avenue North, while the brick building in the center fronts on Nance Plaza. It is being transformed into a new brewery, with residential space on the second floor. The exterior is being restored to historical accuracy. Work is now underway to install new water, sewer and stormwater lines to serve the area.
