City of Myrtle Beach hopes to secure a grant to build a walking bridge at Thunderbolt Park

The City of Myrtle Beach is applying for a $100,000 state grant to build a walking bridge across the outfall from the Thunderbolt Park lake on Farrow Parkway. A 20-percent local match is required. As shown in the attached photo, the bridge will allow pedestrians and bicyclists to cross the waterway at the western end of the lake, thus completing the new path which is under construction now around Thunderbolt Park. This lake is west of The Market Common and just west of the entrance to the International Technology and Aerospace Park (ITAP).
