More places where you can safely dispose of outdated and unused prescription drugs

Prescription drug drop-off boxes are available county-wide. The boxes are receptacles designed to accept all unused, expired and unwanted pharmaceuticals. Providing the boxes is an effort to get prescription drugs that are no longer needed or outdated out of homes and off the streets. Please don’t flush your drugs! Instead, bring them to one of the secure dropboxes on the attached list.

The prescription drop-off at the Myrtle Beach Police Department, 1101 North Oak Street, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lots of people have been using that location, but you may find one that’s more convenient. Below is a list of the drop-off boxes in Horry County.
