Two-year parking decals will be available in January

New, two-year parking decals are coming in January!  Here’s a sample of the new decal, which is tied to the vehicle license plate and registration.  The City of Myrtle Beach offers parking decals to personal-use vehicles that are registered inside the city and on which city property taxes have been paid.  We count the property tax that you pay on the vehicle as your payment for parking, whether you ever occupy a parking space or not.  (Everyone pays for parking, just in different ways.)  


Beginning Monday, January 4, you can apply for the new decals in person at the Pavilion Parking Garage or online at http://www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com/i_want_to/apply_for/resident_parking_decal.php.  That’s gives you plenty of time to get your new parking decal before the paid parking season returns on March 1.  Decals are valid for two years, so the new ones will be good through December 31, 2022.
