Celebrate the New Year with fireworks on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk or at The Market Common…. Here are details about both events, if you can’t wait to say goodbye to 2020.

The Oceanfront Merchants Association hosts an oceanfront party to welcome the New Year from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, in Plyler Park, 1000 North Ocean Boulevard. The party includes dueling DJs, live musicians, beer and wine vendors, hors d’oeuvres, fun for the kids and more, including a fireworks show at midnight from the Second Avenue Pier. For guests’ safety, masks are required when social distancing cannot be observed. Sanitizing opportunities will be available throughout the park. Admission is free! The Market Common hosts “A Southern Times Square” New Year’s Eve Celebration from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, in Valor Memorial Garden, 1120 Farrow Parkway. This year’s scaled-back, outdoor event features music, food and drink vendors and a spectacular ball-drop with fireworks at midnight. For guests’ safety, this will be a clear-bag event, and attendees must present a ticket to enter Valor Memorial Garden to limit occupancy.
