Severe weather expected in Myrtle Beach Thursday afternoon

Parts of South Carolina including the Myrtle Beach area could see severe weather Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.  Forecasters expect hail, high wind, potential for tornadoes and frequent lightning. If a tornado warning is issued, the National Weather Service suggests moving to a safe place, such as a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.  Remember to secure lawn furniture or anything that can be blown away by strong wind gusts.  Stay tuned to local media outlets for the latest weather updates.
