May will be another busy month for sports tourism in Myrtle Beach, with thousands of athletes and attendees participating. Activities include basketball, softball, dance, wrestling, cheerleading and cross-fit. Here’s the sports tourism schedule for the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, John T. Rhodes Sports Center, Grand Park Athletic Complex and Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

May 1-2 – Perfect Game Battle at the Beach Regional Qualifier at the Grand Park Athletic Complex. 20 teams expected.
May 1-2 – National Travel Basketball Association SC State Championships at the John T. Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center. 120 boys and girls teams expected.
May 7-9 – USSSA Conference Championship adult softball tournament at the Grand Park Athletic Complex. 56 teams expected
May 7-9 – Showstoppers Dance Regionals at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Sold Out.
May 8-9 – Prep Hoops at the John T Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center. 50-plus teams expected.
May 10-14 – Sports Express. Sports tourism conference welcoming 30 Event Owners/Rights Holders and 60 Destinations.
May 15-16 – Thin Blue Line adult softball tournament at the Grand Park Athletic Complex. 40 teams expected.
May 14-16 – NuWay Wrestling Southern Throne tournament at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
May 15-16 – Maximum Cheer and Dance at the John T. Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center. 900-plus athletes expected.
May 22-23 – USSSA adult softball tournament at the Grand Park Athletic Complex. 30 teams expected
May 21-23 – National Travel Basketball Association Pre- Nationals at the John T Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center. 120 boys and girls teams expected.
May 29-30 – Beach Town Throw Down CrossFit style event at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. 500 athletes expected
May 29-30 – Kids Artistic Revie (KAR) Regional Dance Competition at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
May 29-30 – Zero Gravity Basketball at the John T Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center. 50-plus teams expected.
