City Hall will be closed Monday, August 30 due to ruptured water heater

Thanks to a ruptured water heater in the attic, Myrtle Beach’s City Hall will be closed Monday, August 30.  Portions of the first and second floors received limited damage (mostly soggy ceiling tiles).  While cleanup and repairs are underway, City Hall staff will work remotely on Monday.  The filing period for the November City Council and mayoral election closes at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 3.  Should any candidates wish to file Monday while City Hall is temporarily closed, they may call City Clerk Jennifer Adkins at 843-274-0872 and make arrangements to complete the required paperwork.  We anticipate that City Hall will reopen Tuesday, August 31.
