Two call boxes installed in Myrtle Beach to help with emergency services

Two new call boxes offer quick access to helpful services in downtown Myrtle Beach. Thanks to a partnership with United Way, the Myrtle Beach Police Department has installed a couple of public safety contact points. You can reach either 211 or 911 from the call box. The 211 service is provided by the United Way and offers immediate information about a wide range of community services. And 911 connects callers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department for emergency needs. The new call boxes are available at Plyler Park and Second Avenue Pier.
