Myrtle Beach will begin regular mosquito spraying Monday, May 2

The City of Myrtle Beach will begin regular spraying to control the mosquito population on Monday, May 2. The spray used does not affect animals or humans. We cover the city from north to south during the weekdays, weather permitting. You can do your part, too, by following the tips in the attached graphic! Spraying begins about 4:30 p.m. on the following schedule:

Mondays – 62nd Avenue North to Northern City Limits
Tuesdays – 21st Avenue North to 62nd Avenue North
Wednesdays – Third Avenue South/501 to 21st Avenue North
Thursdays – 17th Avenue South to Third Avenue South (includes Highway 15 corridor)
Fridays – 17th Avenue South to Southern City Limits
Beekeepers, the City of Myrtle Beach also has a program designed to protect bees! Call 843-918-2000 to register beehives. Staff members avoid spraying in the area of registered beehives.
