"A Southern Times Square" Celebration is set for Saturday, December 31

Looking for New Year's Eve plans in Myrtle Beach? The popular “A Southern Times Square” Celebration is set for Saturday, December 31, 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., at The Market Common. This year’s event features live music by Charlotte-based Alternate Take Band; food, beer and wine vendors; live coverage of New York City’s Times Square on a jumbo screen; special guest emcee Duane Farmer; and, a spectacular ball-drop at midnight. For 2022, a laser show will replace last year’s fireworks show, and the stage returns to the town center, in front of Barnes & Noble. For guests’ safety, this will be a clear-bag event; attendees must present a ticket to enter. Attendees also need to bring IDs and leave beach chairs at home.
