The 16th Annual FIRST Robotics Palmetto Regional Competition is set for Thursday through Saturday, February 28-March 2, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 2101 North Oak Street.
This year’s theme is “Destination: Deep Space.” Doors open daily at 8:00 a.m. and admission is free. The exciting competition is an intense, three-day event showcasing robots developed and operated by dozens of h...igh school teams from all over the world. The competition teams professionals and young people together to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The program is a life-changing, career-molding experience.
Each year, the competition reaches more than 80,000 students on more than 3,500 teams in competitions held across the United States and beyond. The high-tech spectator sporting events are a result of lots of focused brainstorming, real-world teamwork, dedicated mentoring, creative design, project timelines and deadlines.
