Beginning Monday, March 4, a portion of North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach will be closed to all but local traffic for improvements.

The closure is between 14th and 16th Avenues North and is expected to last through the week, until Monday, March 11. A contractor will install intersection improvements at 16th Avenue North and a mid-block crosswalk between 14th and 16th Avenue North. Replacement of the sidewalk on the east side of the Boulevard also is part of the work. Detours will be posted, beginning at 21st Avenue North on the north side of the project and 14th Avenue North on the south side.
