- Be a calm and considerate driver.

- South Carolina law requires motorcycle operators and passengers under 21 years of age to wear an approved helmet.

- It is unlawful to weave in and out and in-between traffic.

- Motorcycle burnouts are illegal; motorcycle riders “holding” intersections to allow their group to continue without having to obey traffic signals or signs is illegal.

- Racing is illegal.

- Seatbelt laws are strictly enforced.

- State law prohibits texting while driving.

- No more than two motorcycles may park in a single public space; if it's a pay to park space, both must pay.

- Excessive revving and acceleration is a violation of the noise ordinance.
