Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise is on for Friday and Saturday, September 6-7

Hurricane Dorian IS out of the area in time for the Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise, so we are preparing for the event as planned. See you Friday and Saturday! The Second Annual Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise Gospel Festival returns to Myrtle Beach Friday and Saturday, September 6-7. The festival begins with the Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise Gospel Fest Honoree Night, set for 6:30 p.m., Friday, September 6, in Ballroom D and E, at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, 2101 North Oak Street. The ceremony honors community members who have contributed to media over the years. The evening features an awards presentation for the honorees and live gospel music performances top-ranked gospel performer, producer and pastor, John P. Kee and season three winner of Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) gospel singing competition show, “Sunday Best,” Le’Andria Johnson. Both Kee and Johnson are Grammy Award winning artists.

The festival continues 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, at the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place, 812 North Ocean Boulevard. Attendees can expect live performances from local, regional, Grammy and Stellar Award-winning recording artists. The headlining artists for the 2019 Myrtle Beach Waves Of Praise Gospel Fest are Israel Houghton, Deitrick Haddon, Byron Cage, Maurette Brown Clark and Damon Little. Admission is free! The event is sponsored by the City of Myrtle Beach and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Attendees, please bring a beach chair or blanket. For more, see www.mbwavesofpraise.com.
