Myrtle Beach's Public Works staff works deligently to remove storm debris

Thank you for your patience as our storm debris collection crews work six days a week to pick up after Hurricane Dorian. Myrtle Beach's Public Works staff has completed the first pass through most of the city. We are supplementing our solid waste services with two additional knuckleboom trucks from a private contractor and one tractor-trailer from a hauling company. In the meanwhile, we have maintained the regular schedule for the rest of our solid waste and recycling ser...vices.

As a reminder, please pile limbs at the curb for easy pickup and remember to separate yard waste from bulky junk and other debris. Loose yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, etc.) must be in paper bags for pickup. The paper bags can be composted at the Horry County Landfill, which established the paper bag rule. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected. Questions? Call the Solid Waste division at 843-918-2160.
