Withers Swash stormwater solutions public meeting at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12

Stormwater solutions in the Withers Swash drainage basin will be the subject of a public meeting at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, at the Myrtle Beach Train Depot. WK Dickson, the city’s consultant, has been working on stormwater quality and quantity issues in those 2,500 acres. The goal is to improve existing flow paths and structures, manage the quantity and improve the water quality.

The effort has identified 16 treatment projects for better water quality and 18 infrastructure projects for better stormwater quantity management. The public will have a chance to review and comment on the summary and ask questions. This is a follow-up to a similar public input meeting held last year at this time, when the study was just getting under way.
