Register for My Beach 101 Citizens Academy

Applications are now available for the Neighborhood Services Department’s My Beach 101 Citizens Academy! The eight-session program gives participants a unique experience and a chance to learn about the City of Myrtle Beach’s daily operations. Classes take place on Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum, 900 Dunbar Street. Classes begin Thursday, January 30, 2020. Spaces is limited to 25 participants. Each session includes appearances by department directors, city staff and elected officials. Sessions also include the history of Myrtle Beach and how each of the departments within the city operates, including Fire, Financial Services, Police and Public Works.
