The overhead utility poles seen in this image of Pampas Drive near The Market Common will be placed underground as part of a project set to begin in the New Year. The City of Myrtle Beach has hired Greenwall Construction Company to complete the underground wiring project along portions of Pampas Drive and Crabtree Lane. On Pampas, the work will occur between Mallard Lake Drive (Howard Avenue) and Meyers Avenue. On Crabtree, the work will occur from Pampas Drive To Emmens Avenue, with a portion along Emmens by the HGTC Conference Center. We expect the contractor to begin work in early January.
