Expect dangerous weather overnight Thursday into early Friday

Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast for our area. The National Weather Service reports wind gusts could reach up to 35 to 40 miles per hour. Remember to secure lawn furniture and other items that could blow away in strong winds. Some areas could see brief isolated flooding. If you encounter flooded roads, do not drive through the water, because it could be deeper than it appears. This weather system should push offshore early Friday morning, leaving cooler weather for the weekend.
