Work is underway on a couple of the historic buildings on Ninth Avenue North. This is just part of the progress in Myrtle Beach’s new Arts & Innovation District. A contractor is ready to remove the false façade from 505 Ninth Avenue North and restore it to the original look, shown in the photo. The building once was home to the Belk store in the early years, before the first mall appeared. We believe (and hope) that the original façade is still there, waiting to be uncovered!
