Governor McMaster removes Home or Work' order and allows for outside dining at SC restaurants starting Monday; drops "Hot Spot" restrictions

Governor Henry McMaster announced today that effective Monday, May 4, the “work or home” order is cancelled. He also removed restrictions on short term rentals to people from “hot spot” areas including NY, NJ, CT, and New Orleans, as well as removed the self-quarantine order for visitors from those “hot spot” areas. Those restrictions were lifted effective immediately.

The order also allows restaurants to re-open outdoor dining service effective Monday, May 4. This is in addition to delivery, take-out and curbside pickup. Restaurants will be required to follow SCRLA guidelines as they reopen outdoor dining service. Dining guidelines can be found here: https://governor.sc.gov/sites/default/files/Documents/Outdoor%20Seating%20Guidance.pdf.

Finally, the Governor declared Sunday, May 3, a statewide Day of Prayer. The official Executive Order will be available at https://governor.sc.gov/executive-branch/executive-orders.
