Utility late penalties to resume June 29
In March, the City of Myrtle Beach temporarily suspended late fees and water cut-offs for past due utility accounts in response to the COVID-19 health emergency. Beginning June 29, 2020, we will resume adding late penalties to bills that are past due and will again mail late notices to customers. Effective July 8, 2020, we will resume water cut-offs for accounts which are past due. If you exper...ienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19 and need special arrangements, please contact customer service at (843) 918-1212. Please note that the look of our Late Notice is changing. We are discontinuing the red sealed form. New Late Notices will arrive in a window envelope and will be the same size as your monthly utility bill.
