Construction begins in the Arts and Innovation District

Construction work begins next week in Myrtle Beach’s Arts & Innovation District. During the next few months, the city will be upgrading the water, sewer and stormwater systems in the parking area off Oak Street. A couple of buildings will be demolished as part of the overall plan to improve parking and provide better access. During construction, the parking area will be closed to the public, with the exception of those residents who live above a few of the stores. The work is expected to be complete by the end of December.
