"Slow Roll" bicycle ride program takes off in Myrtle Beach

Would you feel comfortable riding your bicycle on bike paths? We’ve got a program just for you. “Slow Roll” is a bi-weekly bicycle ride program. Cyclists will ride five to eight miles at beginners pace, on existing bicycle infrastructure in the City of Myrtle Beach. The rides will feature bicycle tips and rules of the road. You must wear a helmet to participate. This is a five-ride program beginning 9:00 a.m., each Tuesday, April 23. If you do not have a bicycle, but would like to ride, contact Beach Bike Shop at 843-448-5103, to rent a bike. The program is free, but you must sign up to participate. To sign-up, call Troy Marron at 843-918- 4906 or email tmarron@cityofmyrtlebeach.com. Program is limited to 12 participants per ride. Below are the ride dates and meeting locations:

April 23 – The Golden Mile
May 7 – The Market Common
May 21 – South Ocean Boulevard
June 4 – East Coast Greenway Part 1
June 18 – East Coast Greenway Part 2
