Anticipate a temporary road closure for Shriner's Parade on Saturday, September 21

 A temporary road closure for the Shriner’s Parade will take place on Saturday, September 21. Beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m., Ocean Boulevard will be closed from Sixth to 12th Avenues South. One northbound lane will remain open in this area to allow residents and hotel guests to exit. 

The Myrtle Beach Police Department will have officers on hand to guide traffic and allow residents to get to their homes.

The following roads from Ocean Boulevard to Kings Highway will be closed and used as a staging area:

• Seventh Avenue South

• Eighth Avenue South

• Ninth Avenue South

• 10th Avenue South

• 11th Avenue South

• 12th Avenue South

From approximately 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Ocean Boulevard will be closed from Sixth Avenue South to Springmaid Boulevard. Officers and volunteers will be stationed at each cross street on Ocean Boulevard to assist drivers.
