Myrtle Beach City Council  approved three emergency orders to provide financial relief for businesses and citizens

The Myrtle Beach City Council today approved three emergency orders designed to provide relief to city residents and businesses during the extended coronavirus health emergency.  The city already had suspended shut-offs of water service for non-payment during the emergency.  Today’s new orders also waive late fees for utility bill payments and grant extensions for recreation center memberships, since the centers are closed.

For businesses, the orders waive late fees for payments of Hospitality or Accommodations Fees or Taxes.  Businesses have an extended period to make business license payments, and those that apply for business license renewals in a timely manner may make monthly payments (by August 30) with no penalty or interest.  See the attached graphic for more information.
